True/False Stories

Story 1

Time after time, everyone needs a shelter. A shelter to run and hide into, a shelter to seek comfort, love and be safe. Ego would deny the fact that humans need a shelter. What amazes me is that a local survey states that 78.3% of the shelter needed for a human, is actually by or from homosapiens themselves. That certainly amuses me. How many of us are doing so? If you could comprehend what I’m saying, I’m actually not blabbering about giving others a roof over their head or bread to feed. I’m talking about beyond that.

I’ve tucked myself tight into to dark room, with a dimmed light coming from the corner, looking out at the open world through the windows. Sounds an awful lot like a prison, but ironically, it’s not as captive as you would assume. The solitude, the cool breeze after the evening rain, the slow traffic and a tinge of streetlights are the perfect elements for a peaceful atmosphere. Well, it is until you hear an anti climax broken tape recorder straight down the hallway. This tape recorder is an odd one; it gets louder as you try to push the stop button down, irony. Taping up its mouth is not an option, as the batteries tend to have over powering voltage. You could bite on your tongue, if the recorder at least plays a decent music over and over again, but oddly, this one plays to a horrifying tune. Talk about-facing the music. Your music just speaks of captivity. I’ve already apologised, but that does that promote you to a slave driver?

Sometimes in human life the urge to seek shelters becomes increasingly high – especially in teen life. But where am I now? Late teen? Early Adult? Anyhow, the matter stays the same. Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on and an embrace to hold on to. Again ego would try to deny it. Often we caption this as a phase, like many other things we go through in life, maybe its true? I can’t really judge on that. We all say, “with growth comes responsibilities”, actually with growth comes maturity and experiences of which your responsibilities just increase, not suddenly appear. Well like I was saying, maturity expands the mind yet at the same time draws it’s line, same with experience. Sometimes maturity makes you reach, but experience cut you down to think twice. I always think, “what if I said yes?” or “what if I went on with it?” but eventually experiences are blessings in disguises by God, for us to learn.

Story 2

Everyone thinks that a typical ‘gay guy’ is such because he is just born with such emotions but rarely do we analyse the case further. Falling into guilt myself in reference to this matter, I can clearly that it has not only become an assumption, but a very fact just without proof. Little did I know, fate gave me the opportunity to understand more.

Being a Youth Leader in church, I face many teenagers at their prime. Being one myself, I assumed that it would be an easy task, but haven been proven wrong many times. One incident would be of Bryan’s. This young chap always portrayed your average Joe, but yet he always seemed bothered. When we got closer and he opened up, I started to understand him. He was often bullied and mocked. He was more comfortable with females than males. Yes, when time went by, I came to know of his sexual orientation.

After months of speaking and sharing, I realised something different. I came to understand a new standpoint of how someone becomes homosexual. A son that has the absence of the father in his life would end up yearning for that fatherly love some place else. Often the love that these young chaps are searching for, end up polluted by the very men they seek it out from. Men who they meet on the net, men they meet in chat lines. When these men shows care and love, the young boys are blinded and they fall for them, leading their emotions along. Hence, with their guards down, these boys actually turn homosexual in a matter of time. Indeed I am awestruck by this, but something that is truly being ignored. Are fathers to be blamed? Or do we just assume that this is part of growing up? Even then, aren’t we still in ignorance?

So which one is True and which one is False???!!! (muahahahaha!)

  1. I think the 2nd story is true because you told me a similar story when we were discussing our LocPro FP last term lol.

  2. Story 1 is real and Story 2 is false… Story 1 seems more surreal and more “Dionel” While the second one seemed abit like Social Psychology to me…

  3. I think the second story is slightly more believable as i can’t imagine him locking himself in a dark room. so not you.hahah

Hmmm… it’s odd that your stories seem more reflective pieces than fictional stories. As such, how do you judge an opinion? I’d have to say that Story 1 is true.
